The Sons of Portugal Folklore Dance Group was founded by Mr. Artur Martins, with the joining of a few of his friends, on November 10th, 1977. Since that very day, the group has been dedicated to presenting the cultural values of the Portuguese to all those who were willing to watch. Upon his return to Portugal, Artur left the group in the charge of two of his children, Jorge Martins and Manuela Ribeiro, whom have committed years to the perservation of his legacy, and now get to pass down to his grandchildren.

The Sons of Portugal Folklore Dance Group prides itself in it's love for all things Portuguese. With a wide age range of members, from those crawling in uniform to those in their golden years, all share their pride in being a part of this continuously growing family. Now with 30 years of experience and knowledge of tradition, we hope to keep this legacy going strong.

O Rancho Folclórico Filhos de Portugal teve o seu início no ano de 1977 e a sua apresentação em público a 10 de Novembro do mesmo ano pela mão do Mestre Artur Martins e mais alguns amigos. Natural de Nabainhos do concelho de Gouveia. Actualmente este grupo está a ser ensaiado pelos seus filhos, Jorge Martins e Manuela Ribeiro. O Rancho Folclórico tem-se dedicado ao longo de estes anos á preservação e divulgação de danças e cantares, usos e costumes, não só oriundos da região Beira Alta, como também de outras regiões do nosso pais.
